My hitachi did the same thing, the brush caps were too tight. I loosened them up and snugged  them back down. No issues since

General DWC Questions / Vector files

I am looking for a place to download quality vector images such as military symbols, grim reapers, etc. I've tried to screen shot images but they don't turn out good when I vectorize them.

General DWC Questions / How to cut out words?
« on: July 16, 2015, 06:30:17 AM »
I have been trying to create a program to cut out words. I am using the text that came on the bobcad v24 program. when I drag the letters together and try to trim the overlap lines I am unable to trim them. I am using bobcad v24, has anyone experienced this problem and maybe have a solution? Thanks Greg D

General DWC Questions / Posting/ Output Subprograms
« on: July 16, 2015, 06:24:12 AM »
I recently upgraded to a new computer and since then I have to uncheck the output Subprograms box every time I make a new program before I post/save my work. Otherwise when I try to import g code on the cncusb controller it won't pull up. Does anyone know how to save this setting? Also I can't get it to save BT_DWCrev2.MillPst for my post processer  under milling stock either. I have to change it every time. I didn't have to do this before I changed computers. Any help would be great. Thanks Greg D

Not sure this is the problem, but try a 1/4 bit and see if it still happens on the same program. Sometimes a small bit if it's hanging out of the collet too far will chase the grain in the wood. It kinda looks like it is doing that to me. Hope this helps. Greg D

General Discussion / Error in gcode
« on: March 05, 2015, 04:40:59 PM »
Just got everything installed on new computer. When I draw on bobcad like I always have , save , then try to import gcode on cncusb it gives me error. It says multiple 0 words, line 28- 010 ( sub program of 100). Line number varies but error is same. I have tried several different drawings.

Try rerunning without moving your work piece and subtract about .005 to .010 on the z zero, see if you get a better finish
