General Discussion / I just replaced my table with a new piece of slatwall
« Last post by James Bu on August 15, 2017, 03:02:42 PM »

I ordered this slat wall from Mills Distibruting.  It appears to be a dense / higher quality slatwall.  I am please with the quality and I have spent a full day tuning the machine. The chart below illustrates the final "Z" axis elevations at various locations:

Has anyone been able to achieve tighter tolerances?  If so, how?

Hello, my name is Jimmy and I am from Lubbock, TX.
I have had my Digital Wood Carver for a little over two years now and use it for fun/hobby, doing projects for family and friends.

General DWC Questions / Re: How do you dial in your feed speed for various bits?
« Last post by Eric S on June 16, 2017, 07:51:02 AM »
Trial and error. I found a V-bit  cutting widths chart. and a few things on feeds and speeds. But the best that worked for me was drawing a series of lines with .5" radius. compute tool paths at varying speeds and run it on spare materials.
