Lines across letters in V-Carve
« on: March 13, 2014, 12:02:48 AM »
Using BBCD V24. While doing V-Carve, I've been getting lines cut across my letters. I can see them in the tool path, but can't seem to get rid of the lines across the letters. There are just a couple of them that cut across the letters and they are straight at a diagonal.

Maybe a depth issue? They are 2.3" letters.

This happened to me before. Turns out I had some strange geometry and had a very small line showing up. Had to enlarge drawing and search near said line. But once I found them and cleaned up, all was well.

Thanks for the reply.

So, maybe it could be a very small un-joined area in the letter?

Unfortunately that didn't work for me. I'm even having the problem using different fonts. Perhaps it's due to attempting to make 2" letters. The tool path goes right across straight lines.

the dotted lines are rapid moves.  When setting up your  V carve the first screen will setup your clearance plane, rapid plane and top of part.
