« on: June 04, 2014, 04:14:56 PM »
Anyone running Windows 8.1 with BobCAD V24? My laptop recently updated from Windows 8 to 8.1 and now I am having trouble with BobCAD not responding and crashing when trying to compute tool path, just wondering if anyone done went thru this and figured out what to change or update to fix?

I tried windows 8.1 and never had any luck. Just one problem after another, I started using my PC  with windows vista working fine now. Nothing seemed to work on windows 8.1

I just bought a new computer with windows 8.1 and transferred Bobcad to the new machine. So far no issues, hopefully it stays that way!

I was just updated to 8.1 the other day. I am unable to draw toolpaths. It runs out of memory.

Mine is doing the same, but it keeps saying I'm out of memory, I checked and I'm only using 1/3 of my available memory, I'd like to see what your IT friend said, Burl suggested a bigger computer, mine is a Dell laptop 2gb and 64 ram and had 3 drawings and already out of memory, what to do what to do ?

Most likely the video card is running out of memory.

I didnt get the full story, but it had something to do with setting priorities and permissions.
