What soft ware does the actual cnc carver use to cut. I have tried to down load other files from site and the machine is saying there are error codes but the files load and run fine on other cnc machines like my buddies carve wright

I'm using the CNC USB software and it uses Gcode.   Wiki has a very good reference here.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G-code

Importing graphics, like DFX, will generate Gcode which you can use as is or edit if you like.
