Dust Collection
« on: August 24, 2017, 04:16:39 PM »
I am having difficulty with dust collection with my DWC. Not only am I constantly augmenting dust collection with secondary shop vac, but I have destroyed several dust skirts, as they get hung in the spinning router bit and get ripped off the "shoe". I have tried cutting vertical slits in the plastic skirt, but they still manage to get caught on the bit at some point. I would prefer the brush type dust shoes I have seen on other machines, with a larger collection hose. Any suggestions? I'm sure these issues are born of my inexperience, but I fear damage to the router as well as frequent purchases of replacement skirts.
