Getting the Home position with CorelDraw
« on: March 01, 2013, 10:48:36 AM »
I was combining text and graphics in CorelDraw then exporting to DXF.  When I imported the DXF into CNC USB the 'home' location (red & green arrows) was in a odd location and I couldn't move it.

I found on the Planet CNC forum that others had the same problem with DXF files made in AutoCAD.  Their remedy was to place their image at zero/zero before saving to DXF.

In CorelDraw, I set horizontal and vertical guidelines at the page center then moved my image to the upper right quadrant of the page near the page center.  After exporting to DXF and importing to CNC USB, the 'home' location is now where I want it to be.

Chainsaw carvings, sawmill services, and CNC routing.
